How to use heavy-duty trailer hitch locks?

Begin by unlocking the device with the provided key, turning it clockwise to open the lock. Instructions for use:

Open the AMPLOCK U-BRP2516 and insert it into the coupler (position ① in following picture)on your trailer or RV. During this period, you need to pull the device at position ② to ensure that the hitch lock can slide in smoothly. Then adjust the lock to align with the holes or mechanism in the coupler.

Push the other part of the hitch lock into the ③ position in the picture, and press the button at the ④ position upward at the same time to secure the hitch lock. Confirm that the lock is securely in place and that the coupler is effectively locked. If you need to unlock it, just insert the key into position ④ and rotate to unlock, and you can disassemble it smoothly.

Using this hitch lock is simple. Locate the keyhole on the left side of the lock, insert the key, and turn it clockwise to unlock the hitch. While keeping the key turned, position the hitch ball onto the trailer’s connection point, adjust the tightness of the hitch lock, and then turn the key counterclockwise to securely fasten the hitch lock in place.

After securing the aluminum bracket, slide the steel pin into the corresponding hole in the bracket. If necessary, when the steel pin slides into the first hole of the bracket, put a plastic gasket on the steel pin, and then slide the steel pin into the second hole of the bracket. As you can see from the product picture, there is a hole in the middle of the steel pin. You can pass the lock through this hole to achieve the effect of fixing the hitch lock.

How to use this hitch pin lock?

Line up your draw bar with your receiver first and make sure that your two pin holes. Then put the hitch pin lock through the two pin holes, make sure there are o-rings on the left side and o-rings on the right side, just like following photo:

The number of o-rings can be adjusted according to actual conditions. The right is also the locked position, you just need to slide on the remaining part of the hitch lock to this position and lock it. Once locked the entire connection is very tight.

Pivot-Lock Hitch Pin Lock

First, line up your draw bar with your receiver and make sure that your two pin holes.

Then put the hitch pin lock through the two pin holes, please make sure the left end of the hitch pin lock is straight during this step.

Finally, pull the pivot on the left end and turn it so that it is perpendicular to the hitch pin lock, then the hitch pin lock can be well fixed.

Latch Pin Lock

The Latch Pin Lock, constructed from high-strength steel, deters theft with its padlock-style design and 1/4-turn lock activation. To use it, insert the pin through the designated hole in the latch or locking mechanism, and then lock it in place using the provided key or combination.

It’s worth noting that to open this latch pin lock, you need to turn it about three times after inserting the key, and the lock will relock every quarter turn. This means that upon unlocking, it will re-lock approximately 10 to 12 times.

Receiver Hitch Lock
